Claire Branigan (Anthropology) Claire is a Ph.D. student in Anthropology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Claire’s research examines the implementation of law that defines violence against women as a violation of human rights in Argentina.  This research seeks to understand the ways in which larger social changes about gender are being translated into the criminal justice system in Buenos Aires.
