Tahreer Araj, from Palestine, is a PhD student in Human and Community Development. She received a Master’s in Gender, Law and Development from Birzeit University and a BA in Sociology and Anthropology. She has worked for a considerable time with Palestinian development organizations and on research of community capacity to manage water resources in the Palestinian territories. Her current work focuses on gender development in the context of the relationship between Palestinian NGOs, community development and political/ideological formation at the community level. She has received several awards, has participated in training workshops and conferences and has several works in progress.
