Research Interests
My primary interests are in urbanism of the Global South, urban informalities and gender studies. I am particularly interested in adopting a decolonization perspective to understand how women from minority communities in the global south can be empowered and recognized. I want to undersatnd socio-spatial differences produced in everyday urbanism through a lens of gendered terrritorialities and analyzing the ways in which women claim their rights to the city.
