Rachita is a doctoral student in Global Studies in Education in the College of Education at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her research explores how socio-economic, political and local livelihood dynamics affect women's well-being and their ability to adapt to climate change and access education. Her research aims to build effective educational pathways to support women’s rights, freedoms and opportunities especially in pastoral communities in India.
