Rachel C Garthe receives Alberti Center Early Career Award

 Alberti Center Early Career Award, presented annually, recognizes an individual who has made exemplary scholarly contributions to the field of bullying abuse prevention and conducted research that has the potential to influence practice and policy.

Rachel C. Garthe, PhD and an Assistant Professor at the School of Social Work, received this award. Dr Garthe’s research examines the etiology, consequences, and prevention of youth violence. In particular, she examines factors that promote healthy youth development among individuals who have been historically marginalized, including racial and ethnic minority youth and gender minority youth.
