Margaret Fitzpatrick is a Ph.D. student in Educational Policy, Organization and Leadership focusing on Globalizing Education for the 21st Century. She completed two Master’s degrees: one in Secondary English Education from the University of St. Thomas and one in Communication from Stanford University. She received a BA in English from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Research on the nexus between workers' rights, citizenship rights and human rights, especially as that plays out in gendered global flows of teacher labor from Jamaica, Trinidada and Guyana to New York City.
