Veronica Mendez, from Mexico, is a Master’s student in Latin American Studies. She has a BA in History and Political Science from University of Texas at San Antonio. She has received several fellowships and awards and is active in intramural sports and student organizations. She was a founding member and president of Students in Leadership. She has volunteered for children’s shelters, orphanages, reading programs, and food drives. Her current research focuses on women’s political quotas in Latin America.
