Ozge Sensoy is from Turkey and is a PhD student in the School of Social Work. She has a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University, New York and a BA in Psychology from Bogazici University in Istanbul. Her research focuses on the impact of culture and religion on gender and its implications for women in low income migrant families in Turkey. She has presented papers at conferences and published an article on the local Cunningham Children’s Home. She also has several works in progress. She received the 2009 Sanders Award. She has worked as a youth mentor in Turkey and as a social work intern in New York.
