Dr. Merle Bowen, a professor of African American studies, and Dr. Brian Ogolsky, a professor of human development and family studies are among the five scholars who have been recognized as University Scholars for excelling in scholarship, teaching, and service. They are awarded with $15,000 each for each of three years to use towards enhancing their academic careers.
